The Exposure of Joe Bartholdi Jr. to the Poker World

The exposure of Joe Bartholdi, Jr. to the art of gambling started when he was very young. This is the reason why he became known as "Gambles." The first time that he exposed himself to risk was when he sold cigarettes to his classmates who were all minors. There was also a point in his life when he got expelled from his school due to his involvement in school fights. His parents were going to enroll him to the next nearest school, which was not very near at all. Such situation prompted him not to enroll there and just obtain a General Educational Development test.

When Joe Bartholdi, Jr. was eighteen years old, he and his father moved to Las Vegas, Nevada because his father worked there as a poker dealer. This inspired Joe Bartholdi, Jr. to play poker even though he was still a minor. Being underage did not seem to be a hindrance because he was able to learn how to play Texas hold'em and stud poker games in no time. When he reached the age of twenty one years old, he turned into a professional player of poker. Despite the fact that he was excelling in the game and that he was earning money from it, he still lost almost all of his money because of playing blackjack and because he did not know how to manage his bankroll well. In order to have enough money, he still had to work as a poker dealer.

Although Joe Bartholdi, Jr. was losing a lot of money, it did not stop him from gambling, especially from playing poker. There was even one time when he had the chance to meet poker giant Russ Boyd. This was during a World Series of Poker tournament held in 2002. Boyd invited him to join The Crew, which was a group of poker players. He was doing well as a member until there came a time when he felt that he was the reason why the group lost US$4,000. This prompted him to leave the group although he claims that he remains friends with all the group members.

Joe Bartholdi, Jr. was lucky enough to have established a new bankroll in 2004. He started from US$50 until it went up to as high as US$250,000. However, it was very unfortunate of him to let his money be lost once again because of his problem with regard to managing his bankroll.

Joe Bartholdi, Jr. should start to address his problem with regard to bankroll management. Otherwise, he would not be able to appreciate the prize winnings that he has been getting for playing professional poker. Too bad that he has this kind of problem because he has always been one of the best poker players we have.

As a matter of fact, there was a time when Joe Bartholdi, Jr. won a World Poker Tour (WPT) title. This was during the fourth season of WPT and the event that he participated in was the US$25,000 No Limit Hold'em Championship game. He bested a total of six hundred four poker players which allowed him to take home the grand prize of US$3,760,165.

We just hope that he will also be successful in managing his bankroll, just as successful as he plays poker.
